@mindyonthemove: 🚢 5 reasons I never took a cruise before & how my first ever cruise with @VirginVoyages debunked all my preconceived misconceptions! #virginvoyages 📌 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢 𝘯𝘶𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘝𝘪𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘯 𝘝𝘰𝘺𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘢! I use to think.. 1️⃣ Wouldn’t be adventurous enough for me! ❌ Lies! I went free-diving with sharks! And it’s one of the most insane and wildest experiences I’ve ever had! This is just one example of SO many adventure ops with Virgin Voyages’ “shore things” excursions. 2️⃣ There’d be chaos with screaming kids taking over the pools, etc. (like a crazy Disney World experience and not so relaxing). ❌ Not true! Virgin Voyages is adults only!!! AND…It was so perfectly spread out and so much to do that it never felt too crowded! MANY times we even had incredible spots to ourselves! And, we had so many moments of complete zen > like 3 hours in the spa’s thermal suite! Plus, you can reserve your dinner reservations, shows, classes (etc) all in advance using their convenient app! 3️⃣Thought the parties and shows would be kinda mild & tame? ❌Oh no no no!! Virgin Voyages’ parties (and shows) were NEXT LEVEL!! So epic! 4️⃣I use to think “with limited time at port in various destinations, will I really be able to have ‘true’ travel experiences?” ❌Came to realize: it’s an amazing intro to destinations and can help you decide WHERE you’d like to return to for much longer in the future! Bahamas was never on my list before, but now I’m longing to return for more epic water adventures! (I also still got to meet locals, learn about their culture and explore some ancient history and more!) 5️⃣Thought the cabins would feel claustrophobic in a sense. ❌I can’t begin to explain how far from the truth this was! The balcony was EVERYTHING!! Every dang day I sat out on that hammock just staring out over the horizon, marveling at insane skies! Was obsessed with our room! 6️⃣ Always thought I’d get seasick! ❌But, I didn’t! 🥳 I did come prepared with dramamine, ginger chews + sea bands just in case!
