Everyone who says you can't help them has never heard of a "power of attorney" or "guardianship"? ... Signed, my brother has the same diagnosis.... I thank God for persistence and seeing us thru ... it's so hard. my mom was illness free until I was 18 and she became schizophrenic. they live in a different world. unless u have someone in your life you will never understand how hard it is

I also had a brother who was diagnosed. We fought for years to get him institutionalized. Getting him to accept treatment was one of the toughest experience’s our family had.
