Let’s break these down real quick… ❌ “You have to post 5-8x a day to grow” ✅ You need to find the amount you can consistently post that you can see yourself keeping with long term. This is going to be different for each creator. It may be 2-3 times for some creators. It also can be 3-4x a WEEK for others… In my opinion, quality over quantity can even come down to you posting once a day BUT to find out what “quality” content means FOR YOU, it will come with a personalised strategy (/a deeper conversation with an expert), the answer will 9/10 times NOT be any tip or hack you’ll find on TikTok. ❌ “If a video doesn’t do well, don’t keep posting the same kind of content” ✅ You can pivot & change your delivery on a message with the goal to increase exposure/engagement, but just because something doesn’t work the first or second time trying it, doesn’t mean you give up on the message/concept right away... Do some A & B testing. Be willing to investigate what you could do better next time? Now more than ever I see the 6th, 7th or even 8th attempt of - video/concept be the one to “take off”… so be patient! A video not “performing well” instantly is a GREAT learning opportunity. See it that way & grow (internally & externally) as you go. ❌ “Get inspiration by researching what works well for others” ✅ The more you look at others, the more you start to look like others. You blend in. You won’t stand out. You won’t grow... YOU WITH ME? 👀 Not to mention, the comparison trap is real & if you get caught in, you’ll always be watering someone else’s grass instead of your own, giving the energy you could have spent ON YOU, to THEM. This is not to say you can’t create like others do, if it’s genuinely what you do & want to share… but what is your point of difference? What’s the “thing” that makes you, you? That people know YOU for? You won’t find that by “getting inspiration” from others. Create from within, by documenting your day-to-day, even the “boring stuff” can stand out these days because that’s what’s actually ‘different’. So dare to be different & have a more relaxed approach. Create like YOU & use your own momentum.
