Replying to @Daniel Le Brad Bernstein, a licensed immigration attorney with over 30 years of experience and founder of the Law Offices of Spar & Bernstein, answers the question: What happens to your debt if you’re deported? Brad explains that if you’re deported and owe money to the banks, the debt does not disappear—you still owe it. However, it’s unlikely the banks will find you outside the U.S., and even if they do, U.S. laws can’t be enforced in your home country to collect the debt. As a result, most banks will eventually write off the debt. That said, if you ever return to the U.S. after deportation, your credit score will likely be severely damaged, making it harder to access credit in the future. #ImmigrationLaw #Deportation #DebtCollection #USImmigration #ImmigrationAdvice #ImmigrationAttorney #BradBernstein #SparAndBernstein #SuperLawyer #CreditScore #ImmigrationHelp
