@brutamerica: Wildfires scorched parts of Greece for the fourth consecutive day as the country, as well as other parts of Europe, continue to suffer through an extreme summer. On Tuesday, rescue workers found the bodies of at least 18 people in the northern Evros region of Greece. They are assumed to be migrants who died in the fires after attempting to cross the border from Turkey. Strong winds, dry conditions, and temperatures crossing 100 degrees F have led to at least 65 fires breaking out in the country within 24 hours. According to local governments, at least 12,000 people have been evacuated from their homes. In July, thousands were forced to flee from the Greek island of Rhodes due to the fires.
