@anikasdiylife: Sanding is the most tedious but also the most important step in a project. Don't skimp on it. Here are some basic pointers 👉🏼 Use a variable speed sander. 👉🏼.Start with the lowest grit needed depending on the roughness of the board and step up to 200 grit if staining and 150 grit if painting. 👉🏼 Don't skip more than 60 grits to get the best results 👉🏼 Don't press down on the sander. Let it do its thing. 👉🏼 Don't move the sander too fast. 👉🏼 Use pencil lines to tell you when the top layer has been sanded and flattened and you are ready for the next grit or step.
