@screenwritinginla: This was right after Reservoir Dogs and before Pulp Fiction. Some of this dated, seeing as we now have digital. And most films ARE being preserved in a sense. But I’m sure he and Scorsese would say film preservation (actual film) is still just as important. But I just love coming across these clips because it’s a great reminder of how important Tarantino’s pure passion was, how that was the driving factor for his success. His willingness to never give up and always speak his truth. There’s another clip before this where he talks about how Reservoir Dogs came to be. How he was two seconds away from shooting it on 16mm with a bunch of friends. Everything else failed. But the Cinema gods came to the rescues.
