Agree with the advice although for convenience of having internet straight away & getting into Bangkok I think getting the sim in the airport is fine

Tuk Tuks are great for that last mile from the BTS or MRT stop to your hotel/restaurant. Only get the ones waiting in line by the stop.

man when I was in Phuket I caught like 4/5 tuktuks and they were all way cheap and no dodgyness
