@andrelifehack: Grey Dove Oyster Mushroom Cultivation (Pleurotus ostreatus) 1. Heat water until boiling in a sizable pot, then take it off the heat. 2. Submerge a toilet paper roll in the hot water until it's thoroughly soaked. Take it out and let it drain on a rack until cool. You can remove the cardboard for faster results, but it's not mandatory. 3. Transfer the damp roll into a breathable filter bag. 4. Introduce sterile grain spawn, into the center of the wet roll. 5. Secure the bag using a rubber band just above its filter patch. 6. Store the bag in an environment with temperatures ranging from 65-75 F. We used a closet in our bedroom. Expect about 4½ weeks for the incubation phase. 7. To kickstart fruiting, refrigerate the bag for a couple of days. 8. After refrigeration, remove the rubber band to facilitate air flow. 9. Spritz the bag with water 2-3 times every day. After a week post-refrigeration, you should see fully grown mushrooms.
