I installed 324 sinks in a hotel with just the seals the drains came with, no silicone no PTFE tape no plumbers mait, and not one sink leaked

nunca se pone pega o silicona para eso estan los empaques conicos y si no los pones bien ahi si hay fugas de agua.

I use it, works well. But a basin mate is probably better, especially when taking it apart a few years down the line.

always used Plumber Mait u can use the basin straight away , Never used messy silicone and wait for it to dry then use .
