@drsermedmezher: Why Do Some People With ADHD Walk Like This? #sway Reduced coordination is a common feature of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a neurodevelopmental condition affecting both children and adults. This impairment in motor coordination can manifest in various ways, impacting daily activities and tasks that require precise movements. Here's a brief description of reduced coordination in ADHD: Reduced Coordination in ADHD: Motor Skill Challenges: Individuals with ADHD often face difficulties with fine and gross motor skills, making tasks like handwriting, sports, and even simple activities like tying shoelaces more challenging. Impulsivity Impact: Impulsivity, a core characteristic of ADHD, can lead to impromptu actions that affect motor coordination, resulting in accidents or clumsiness. Difficulty with Focus: Sustaining focus and attention on specific tasks, especially those requiring precise movements, can be a struggle for those with ADHD. Executive Function Deficits: Reduced coordination is often associated with deficits in executive functions, which affect planning, organizing, and carrying out physical actions. Fine Motor Skills: Tasks involving fine motor skills, such as writing or threading a needle, may be particularly challenging for individuals with ADHD. Gross Motor Skills: Activities like playing sports or riding a bike can be affected by coordination issues, leading to difficulties in physical recreation. Support and Strategies: Adaptive strategies, therapies, and medication can help individuals with ADHD improve their motor coordination. Early Intervention: Identifying coordination challenges early can allow for timely intervention and support, enhancing daily functioning. Comprehensive Management: Addressing coordination issues as part of a comprehensive ADHD management plan is essential for well-rounded care. Self-Awareness: Encouraging self-awareness and self-advocacy can empower individuals with ADHD to seek assistance and develop strategies to improve coordination. #ADHD #CoordinationChallenges #MotorCoordination #FineMotorSkills #GrossMotorSkills #Impulsivity #ExecutiveFunction #ADHDManagement #EarlyIntervention #MotorCoordinationTherapy #ADHDStruggles #NeurodevelopmentalDisorder #FineMotorDifficulties #GrossMotorDifficulties #ADHDChildren #ADHDAdults #ADHDCare #Neurodiversity #ADHDawareness #ExecutiveDysfunction #MotorSkillsImprovement #fyp #fypシ #medicine

I really think it’s because we are constantly trying to have the most direct route to our next location. 😂 we just think fast move fast. Otherwise we’re gonna forget we’re following the dopamine. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But like, it’s weird, cause - if I don’t walk that way, something feels very off.

people with ADHD were hunters. they dodged and moved out of things while following and hyper fixated on their target while not keeping focus on thing but able to see slight irregular to patterns or movements

If my brain is focus, like emergency or needed to go fast I dodge every item. Impressively. But if my brain is tired or not in focus danger I bump into many things, meanwhile if something happens
