We lived in a home without any overhead lights. I was in my late 20s. Hubby in late 40s. We needed a flashlight to read our kids’ books at night.

I like warm recessed lighting but only with dimmers. They can make it moody and for us with small homes and limited natural lighting it’s necessary.
