Replying to @Miss Posh Sooji ka Halwa ( semolina pudding) is a quick traditional Pakistani dessert, ready in 10 minutes and made with 4 main ingredients.  Butter/ ghee, semolina,/ sooji, sugar and water. Cardamom is optional but it enhances the flavour and gives nice aroma to the desserts.  Written recipe below 👇  Ingredients: 1 cup ghee/ oil or butter  1 cup sooji (semolina) 1 cup sugar  3 cups hot water  3 green cardamoms (optional)  For making the best sooji halwa, use same amount of ghee, sugar and sooji and double or triple the water. Method:  1- Add ghee/ butter to the large pan, let it melt and add 3 green cardamoms (slightly broken or crushed).  2- Now add sooji /semolina, sauté and roast on medium heat untill golden and aromatic. (this is the most important step! If you don’t roast the sooji properly, the halwa will have raw taste).  3- Add sugar and boiling water   Be very careful while adding hot water as it will bubble up like crazy, so add it slowly and keep flames down.  4- Stir constantly to keep halwa smooth and avoid forming any lumps. Stir as you add the water and keep stirring, sooji will begin to absorb the liquid and thicken up. Stir for 2 minutes or more until the halwa thickens and leaves the sides of the pan. Halwa is now ready garnish it with your favourite chopped nuts and serve hot.
