I don’t support the notion that caffeine/coffee is inherently unhealthy. Coffee is actually full of antioxidants but more importantly is a source of joy and ritual for many people. But, some people are more sensitive to caffeine (and some groups of people may need to avoid altogether). And running off of coffee undernourished can leave the nervous system frazzled. Try these tips if you love coffee but get the jitters/anxiety. * Brew coffee with 1/2 decaf and 1/2 regular beans. Less caffeine obviously equals less jitters. Look for Swiss water method decaf beans as regular decaf uses chemical solvents linked to health concerns. * Eat something first with fat and or protein first! This doesn’t have to be a full breakfast. I don’t like to wait that long for my coffee either😅. I like to have something small like piece of sourdough with butter and or olive oil just to ease the effects of caffeine on an empty stomach. * Using a milk that has fat &/or protein can also ease the effects of caffeine and help to regulate blood sugar. I like grass-fed a2 whole or coconut cream. * Adding in collagen adds a little protein, again easing the jitters effect. #coffee #nutrition #holistichealthcoach
