i feel like people really don’t understand lips character, his whole life he was the smart one that diddnt apply himself, he was the one that was supposed to save them, and brinf them out of the ghetto, and when he failed that hate for himself turned to resentment to everyone he felt ever placed those expectations on him in the first place, with fiona being the biggest one to push him to pursue his education she earned most of his resentment

think lip was always just jealous of her mental and emotional endurance. She was able to face things head on whenever there was a problem, while Lip struggled and couldn't help himself. Fiona had a goal in mind, and if not a goal then a reason to keep going, while Lip didn't have that, he couldn't find a reason to help himself, which he hated and was jealous of. That's just interpreting at least after watching the series recently
