I bin those isolating valves and filters when doing new tanks.Terrible quality very flimsy.Pegler screwed lever valve and Crosland filter .

Having spent most of my working life delivering oil I can say this problem is quite common, even sideways on. Many have never had the filters changed!

I bet that was playing havoc with the boiler with it being upside down. Some installers have no clue 🤦🏻
