if u open a new acc with some1 else add on paper statements or email ones that way u will always have a record of it in case of this happen again.

My hubby had Wells Fargo years ago, the Very first check he had go in DISAPPEARED. They claimed they didn’t know where it went smh.

Also check with your states Dept of Revenue/Unclaimed Property. If acct went dormant, bank closes it and funds go there
