This is exactly the same as my mum. She cried and begged to be referred and a dr laughed at her saying “You don’t need a referral!”. She died in 2018

Don’t wait for a NHS referral if your really concerned. You can pay to see a consultant ,then go back into NHS for further treatment if needed.Quicker
