Eh, Super Metroid is very different from the original Metroid, and I think that's what people want. Metroid Dread was far more linear than most.

Some delulu Metroid fans think there should be no dialogue, no text, just completely open gameplay where you can wander into boss rooms with nothing.

Here's proof it's great... Metroid Dread single handedly got me to play Fusion, Zero Mission, and Super for the first time cause it so fun.
