Carter will be remembered for her intellect and political power, as a humanitarian, and for her legacy fighting shame around mental illness. The service was held as a part of the three-day celebration of Carter, who died Nov. 19 in Plains, Georgia, at the age of 96. 99-year old Jimmy Carter watched from his wheelchair. This was Carter’s first public appearance since entering hospice care. #fyp
