@abbiedennisonfit: 5 things I wish I knew at the start of my fitness journey … ⚡️A lot of people have an all-or-nothing mindset at the start and while this will get you quicker results, it’s not sustainable. You’ll miss out on making memories and you’ll probably go overboard when you give in to cravings. Aim for an 80/20 split over perfection ⚡️Just because it feels hard doesn’t mean you’re at failure. When you think you’ve got no more in the tank, push for 3 more reps because you’ll be surprised what your body is actually capable of ⚡️If you want to grow, you need to challenge your body. It’s easy to lose track of time when you’re chatting or scrolling on social media, so remember to set a timer in your rest periods. ⚡️The best way to ensure you’re progressing is to see the numbers. When you track your workouts you know exactly where you’re at ⚡️Random workouts won’t get you far because you can’t make sure you’re progressively overloading. I know it may be more boring, but if you’re serious about seeing results, it’s got to be done #gymmotivation #fitnessmotivation
