@corycalendinemd: Heel Pain Relief🦶Plantar Fasciitis Treatment: Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain (affecting 4-7% of the population), causing significant pain and reduced quality of life. How should clinicians effectively treat this condition? Initial approach to #plantarfasciitis treatment should consist of plantar fascia stretching, physical therapy, taping, and individualized patient education. These noninvasive interventions can be used simultaneously for approximately 4–6 weeks before considering adjunctive treatments. Heel injections and Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is a consideration for patients who do not respond optimally and custom foot orthoses can be considered as a second-line treatment if ESWT is not successful. While patient education, load management, and appropriate footwear should always be emphasized in plantar fasciitis pain relief, minimally-invasive endoscopic surgical fascia release is sometimes required for symptom relief. Even when surgery is required, realistic expectations, pain monitoring, and comorbidities should be carefully addressed #plantarfasciitis . What interventions have you tried for Plantar Fasciitis symptom relief? . . . plantar fascia; heel pain treatment; extracorporeal shockwave therapy; foot orthoses; patient education; load management; footwear; foot pain relief

I’ve had PF for almost 5 years. I’ve done the cortisone shots- and even though they work, it’s for a limited time, and it hurts so bad just to get the shots. I was told I have a heel spur. Now the top and side of my foot hurts so bad, and cracks a lot. Arthritis? Idk. I want a foot transplant!!!

I've done injections in both feet to where my podiatrist won't do anymore. I've done PT etc so painful. He wants to do surgery. Says he can do in ofc! I'll only be in boot 3-4weeks!? I'm scared.

Release surgery June 4th 2024.
Now my entire foot hurts, but not the heel. It's painful to walk in the mornings from stiffness. I keep walking until the pain subsides. The top of foot hurts too.
