@katietheadventuremom: Idyllwild Nature Center is by far our favorite! It is extremely kid friendly. The trails are loops. There are picnic tables and bathrooms. My kids love to go into the museum. There is so much to look at and touch! Many learning experiences. There is also a puppet show set up, a rock maze and a little set up to make your own tent. There was a really cool tent already set up that my kids loved! If you are a beginner, this is the place to go! Ther is more to do than hiking to help get your kids excited to hike. I let my kids wear and bring their “adventure gear” to add even more excitement 🥰 there is a fee and the center is closed in certain days, so please check the hours or call before you go!
