From what I’ve heard, bands make the majority of their money on merch, not tix or streams, etc. so a merch cut could really hurt them. Agree w Ronnie

If the venue has people working the merch booth then yeah they should get a cut. If they just give you a corner and do nothing then they get nothing.

Merch is the only thing keeping smaller bands on the road. The record labels gives smaller touring bands next to nothing, merch is how they survive.

merch sales are supposed to go directly to the band cuz they're the ones who bought the merch, process of the designs and such. venues have nothing to do with that
