@60minutes9: Voyager 1 has stopped communicating back to its mission team after a computer glitch. The NASA probe is the farthest manmade object from Earth, and along with Voyager 2, they are the only two spacecrafts to ever operate beyond the sun's magnetic field. Despite being initially designed to last just five years, both are the two longest-operating spacecrafts in history, launching from EArth in 1977. They have since returned tonnes of valuable data about our solar system and interstellar space, and now, engineers are trying to solve the issue of Voyager 1 as it continues to explore unchartered cosmic territory.
