On November 17, 2021, Young Dolph was in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, running errands and supporting local businesses as he often did. Around 12:22 PM, he stopped at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies, a well-known spot he frequently visited and promoted. While inside the store buying cookies for his mother, two masked gunmen pulled up in a white Mercedes-Benz and opened fire through the store’s front window. Dolph was struck multiple times and collapsed inside the shop, dying at the scene before paramedics could arrive. Surveillance footage later showed the shooters wielding semi-automatic weapons before fleeing. His bulletproof car, which he had parked outside, offered no protection since he was out of it at the time. The killing sent shockwaves through the hip-hop community, as Dolph had been known for his independence, loyalty to Memphis, and efforts to give back to the city. Multiple suspects were later arrested and charged in connection with the murder, including Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith, both facing first-degree murder charges. His death marked a tragic end to the life of a beloved rapper and community figure. I never knew much about Dolph but what I knew making this is that he was actually a good guy looking out for his community. Sad he went out this way. I got a community guidelines violation and so they might be nuking some of my uploads. Thanks for viewing and engaging ☺️ Drop some suggestions but don't 100% expect it though because some storylines are just too complex or too graphic. #youngdolph #adolphrobertthorntonjr #memphis #kingofmemphis #rappers #story #storytime #gunviolenceawareness🧡🧡🧡 #rip #legend #fypppppppppppppp #fyppp #virał
