@brado87: #stitch with @Ethan Pinto #atar #hsc watching these ATAR reaction videos, lowest and highest, is so fascinating and slightly retraumatising! Whatever the result, don’t sweat it.

My ATAR was 35. I was so upset, absolutely thought my life was over. Most of my friends got 70-80s. I finished Uni and had a career before most.

Totally ageee with this! My ATAR (UAI cause I’m old) was 66.5 - I now have two degrees and a registered psychologist who maintained a distinction average through all my uni studies.

What they said! 👏 I failed my VCE, was living out of home from 17. I have a PhD in Counselling Psychology and my dream job, ATAR is not everything!

My kid graduated this year, didn't do ATAR, if he wants to go to Uni later he knows there are options to get there, and that we'll help him.

My atar meant I had to do a diploma before my bachelors (same as first year anyway) it also meant I got a scholarship for “continuing my studies”

Totally agree. I had serious health problems in high school and didn't care at all about school. Went to uni as a mature age student at 23

I’m bitter that I tried my absolute hardest for 12 freaking years and literally none of it mattered. Idc about ATAR, just wish I didn’t care earlier.

atar essentially picks who can fast track their degree and who has to pay the uni more for bridging courses
