I don't claim that I have ASD, but I've had 4 professionals tell me they suspect I have it. I've been on a waitlist for 13 months. The evaluation costs 2100. What exactly am I supposed to do? Lmfao

Curious as to what you think about the fact that if you get an official dx, you aren’t allowed to move to certain countries? Or if ur a parent, cps will know about it?

I got diagnosed last year with a BPD and every time I mention it people will be like omg me too I'm like so obsessive. Stop. Or when they find out I'm studying nursing they say u can't have BPD (1)

Honestly it’s the only way for some. I was diagnosed at 45 but only bc I did the work. Misdiagnosed, mismedicated for all that time by MANY profession

But what if people can’t afford to get the diagnosis that they need? That’s why people who self diagnosed do extensive research to make sure they have that disability or autism with extensive research

The last time I wanted to be tested they said it’ll be a 4 year wait, I’ve known since I was kid without a diagnosis because we couldn’t and still can’t afford to. Check your privilege 💃🏼

while I recognize that diagnosis can be a privilege, I do agree with this take - many conditions have overlapping traits with ASD. Suspecting you’re autistic and asking for accommodations accordingly-
