@tommyrunpt: It’s easy to take two different, but related, things, and advise people to ignore one and only focus on the other. Whilst it’s important not to ignore stride length when you’re trying to become a fast runner, your cadence IS something you should focus on. It’s a great thing to measure and take note of to ensure you’re not overstriding. Keeping a high cadence, at whatever pace you’re running will help you to keep good running form. With that good running form, you can then work on increasing the length of each stride, so you can travel at a higher speed. That comes from increased power and efficient form. But if you’re told tracking cadence is a myth, that is not true. It is useful for a lot of things and you shouldn’t ignore it. #cadence #runcoach #runtips #stridelength

I struggle to maintain a low HR on easy runs if my cadence is >165 approx. Any tips? Just give it time?

Is there an app or something to measure cadence? I have a Fitbit it’s pretty basic, do more advance sports watches measure cadence?

one thing that’s still hard to apply for myself is to increase cadence without adding “speed”, any tips on this?

I see a higher cadence with shorter strides actually makes my ave speed faster. Should this be a focus for me to get faster?
