@jpgloria.dpt: Rotation is part of running. - Running is not just composed of forward and backward movement. It involves both side to side and rotational movements. However, plenty of runners are told to stiffen up when they run. And there is some truth to that. Some research has pointed out that a steadier trunk posture may be related to a better running economy. (Folland et al. 2017). HOWEVER, this does not mean it should NOT move. As you can see from top runners, trunk movement is normal and natural. BUT, the torso is not moving randomly. As you watch them, you can appreciate the rhythm and fluidity of the body's movements.
