@itsbreellis: Grass or better known as fodder when it comes to chickens. Fodder can be many things such as sunflower,clover,oats,buckwheat etc but I typically use wheat. I also give the wheat grass to my cats to snack on and ive made a few wheat grass shots for myself to! Fodder is great for helping supplement feed and also gives them something to peak and scratch around with while being more cooped up during the winter months.
