How comes your not using Decent pair of poly cutters. will make its a lot quicker with a cleaner cut for your compression fittings mate

maybe a better solution would of been cut in a tee lower down and renewed from the trap down. A 45deg tee with a 45deg elbow down from the condensate

I work on new build and fit this way have seen this happen food products get blocked at the tee and yes either cut out pipe or blow from boiler end
