@desmondthechef: Kristy was breaking my cookies😂 Banana pudding 4-5 bananas 2 cups milk 1 cup heavy cream 6 egg yolks 1 vanilla bean (2 if small) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cups sugar 1/4 cup corn starch 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 2 bags of chessmen cookies (or more in case there are broken ones) Banana Whipped Cream 1/2 ripe banana 1 cup heavy cream 3 teaspoons sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Instructions Add milk, heavy cream, vanilla bean seeds and pods to pot and bring to a soft simmer on medium/low heat. In a separate bowl whisk egg yolks, cornstarch, sugar and salt. Once milk mixture reaches simmer take a cup out of the pot and whisk slowly into your egg mixture. Once cohesive add egg mixture into the pot. Stir quickly. Once thickened remove from heat and place in a separate bowl. Add vanilla extract and butter and stir in. Place cling wrap on top of pudding to prevent skin from forming and chill for 2 hours. Add all whipped cream ingredients in a bowl and whip till firm. Layer your banana pudding in this order: Cookies, banana slices, pudding, cookies, banana slices, pudding, whipped cream, cookies!
