It’s time to take your 90/90 swivels to the next level! 👏🏼 90/90s  are an amazing exercise but there’s a few cues and better ways to approach them to get the most out them ESPECIALLY if you want to increase range of motion in your hips, ease lower back pain and have better movement and stability within your pelvis. You’re going to want to save this one and try it out as a warmup before leg day🔥 App users it’s part of your warmup for this week!  This is a form of functional range conditioning. It should be a bit challenging when you’re holding a position that challenges your range of motion and all the muscles firing to help make that happen. This is targeting both internal and external rotation of the hips. 🙌🏽 Cues: 🍦 Keep chest as vertical as you can through the movement. Try to keep from leaning back to rotate 🍦 You are lifting your back hip (externally rotating it as high as you can go and HOLD briefly before beginning to turn. 🍦 As you turn, keep that knee as high as you can (don’t let it drop) while pushing your front leg down into the ground. 🍦 keep that tension as you rotate to your sit bones and feet flat on the ground. Both knees will be pulling away from one another. Pause. This should be slow motion. 🍦 continue turning to the other side Keeping tension. Your back leg is now in front and front leg is now trying to stay as high as it can as you’re rotating the other direction.  🍦 Once you have turned the other way hold your back leg up for a few seconds before lower it. ⚡️⚡️Bottom line: Think of constantly pulling your knees away from one another the entire swivel. From here, we can build upon this movement and do what is called pails and rails to increase mobility further! Which i can show next week!
