@brutamerica: Paralympian Oscar Pistorius has been released from a South African prison on parole after he served half of his 13 years and five months sentence. Pistorius was convicted of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2015. Pistorius met the parole conditions in South Africa which entitle him to early release. Although he is out, he will live under strict rules, which means he will be confined to his home during certain hours, is prohibited from being interviewed by the media, and cannot consume alcohol, to name a few, according to the BBC. In 2012, Pistorius became a household name globally after being the first double amputee to compete in the Olympics.
