@feared.texas: The Mexican armed forces and local authorities began a operation on Thrusday (January 5th, 2023) against Ov!dio Guzmán López, the son of Joaquin "El Chpo" Guzmán and a high-ranking member of the S!naloa Crtel. Guzman was extracted by helicopter from the house where he was caught and flown to Mexico City, before being taken to a maximum security federal prison. President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said there were no immediate plans to extradite Ov!dio to the United States, where his father is in a maximum security prison after being extradited in 2017 and found guilty in a New York court. The arrest spurred the powerful S!naloa Crtel - once headed by El Chpo himself - to go on a rampage, setting vehicles on f!re, blocking roads, and fighting security forces in and around Culiacan, the capital of S!naloa. A firefight broke out between members of the S!naloa Crtel and Mexican security services throughout parts of the city of Culiacan on Thrusday (January 5th, 2023). The S!naloa Crtel g^nman also opened f!re on Mexican armed forces with half-dozen .50-caliber truck-mounted machine g^ns.
