@bentune: hopefully we can finally put this topic to bed, but if not I'm here for all your questions 😂. proper PCV system routing is crucial when it comes to effective utilization of your catch can as well as getting the air flow models in your tune correct. improper routing of the hoses can result in errors getting baked into the tune and even negating the function of the catch can in the first place. #bentune #hptuners #dyno #tuning #engine #building #forged #pistons #gm #Chevrolet #Corvette #C7 #Grandsport #grandsportcorvette #stingray #LT1 #LTX #lsx #Silverado #L86 #Whipple #supercharged #supercharger #boost #boosted #magnusonsuperchargers #2650 #btr #briantooleyracing #streetcar #racecar #8speed #automatic #6speed #E85 #ethanol #transmission #mechanic #mechanicsofTikTok #Tuesday #work #LFG
Out of curiosity why didn’t you use the valley cover port for crank evacuation? I’m running dual covers to atmosphere, and vacuum from intake to valley cover.

The truck catch can is dual inlet venting to atmosphere. This is the correct way to use that catch can... venting to air prevents blowing seals under higher levels of boost.

Yes but the catch can has a vent on it so how is it drawing from the valve covers??

Are you saying this bc it's aftermarket? Bc lots of cars have the PCV after MAF

do you recommend removing a catch can during the super cold winter time?

on the truck, say it didn't have a mass airflow sensor and used speed density. after you change the routing would it need any tuning after?

The “check valve” is actually the flap on the breather on top of the can

What front crank seal did you use in that engine? I’ve read the stock ones have leaking issues, especially on boosted engines and to use LS3 front seal

I’m going to buy a MM catch can and was wondering, if I buy the PCV can, I can just run regular hoses/AN lines, correct? No need for a pcv valve?
