@ramsey.solutions: Here’s the truth: Using cash to buy a car immediately gives you the upper hand and puts you at an advantage.🚗 Businesses hate that. They want you in a position of weakness, so they can “help” you by being the “hero” and offering you debt up to your eyeballs. Hold strong and say no to their attempts to change your mind!👏 #cardealership #carpayment #buyacar #financing #moneytips #moneymindset #moneyadvice #savemoney #moneytok
Take the loan, ask for a discount to do so, and pay it off within 30 days. No interest owed, and you get a deal.

Why not finance it and help the dealer make you a good deal. Pay it off 6 months later. Everyone is happy.

If you’re smart financially and can comfortably afford a payment, lease it. That way you’re not stuck with a depreciating asset for years.

People just don’t have cash like that to pay for vehicles in full especially now..I think the Ramsey crew is still in the good old days 🤷🏽♂️

Just take the loan to get any applicable discounts or rebates and pay it off at the first statement.

Do you recommend paying off a car with a 7.9 financing rate on a 20k balance? Thanks!

Ummm doubtful. I’ve bought vehicles cash for my companies and they don’t care. It’s a pretty common event at a dealership.

Finance for 1 year and then pay it in full, just enough to help your credit score, I had enough to pay cash but purposely build credit with as little intrest as possible

As a dealer, cash is not powerful. Fortunately or unfortunately, that is the truth. There are no discounts for paying cash or more sway to be had. Makes no difference whatsoever.

No there isnt. Even if u finance a car, the bank writes a check to the dealership in full for the car. Unless u finance with the brand

I work in a dealership. We don’t mind how you pay. They care more about the turnover of cars so they don’t pay interest on the floorplan.

The crazy thing is that if you structure the deal financed first you can get a better deal overall and then you just pay off the financed deal with the cash and enjoy the best of both worlds.

Cash is not beneficial to car dealerships, your best bet for the best price is to finance it and pay it off in 2 months. This isn’t new.
