When the Lord brings you out of survival mode, He doesn’t just stop there. He begins to heal the version of you that had to hustle to stay alive…the one that shut down, lashed out, dissociated, people-pleased, hid, or hardened just to make it through. And when He starts peeling back those layers…it hurts. It’s disorienting. You’ll crash up against your own humanity and want to pull back. The grief feels unbearable. The memories are loud. The shame still lingers. You may even feel angry at God for letting you remember…angry for making you feel it at all. And that’s when some of us run…back into numbness. Back into sin. Back into something that promises quick relief but steals long-term peace. But friend..He is not shocked by your backslide. He is not mad at your mess. “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) Don’t run from the One who lives in you. He will not forsake you. Let your brokenness be your offering. Let your trust be your lifeline. Let your faith be the anchor that holds because He can redeem you… and your story. Don’t pull away. Fall apart at His feet. 🕊️🤍 Practical Steps in the Middle of the Pain: 1.	Talk to God Honestly – Don’t filter your feelings. Tell Him you’re hurting, angry, numb, confused… He can handle it. 2.	Journal Your Triggers – Write down what’s rising up. Ask, Where did I first feel this? What lie am I believing? 3.	Invite Jesus Into the Memory – Literally pause and ask, “Lord, where were You in that moment?” Wait for Him to show you. 4.	Stay in the Word – Even if it’s one verse a day. Let it steady you when emotions feel like a storm. 5.	Lean on Safe Community – Reach out to a sister in Christ. Don’t isolate. Healing isn’t meant to be walked alone. 6.	Practice Stillness – Turn off the noise. Sit with Him. Let silence be sacred, not scary. 7.	Worship Through the Weeping ..Even a whisper of praise is warfare. Let your tears be worship too. Healing is holy ground. Don’t rush it. Let grace meet you there.
