I think it depends your display as well. If your all decked out 1st of November is fine just don’t turn them on till thanksgiving.

In Wisconsin we put them up when there isn’t snow on the roof BUT they don’t get turned on till 1st week in December and are turned off January 1st.

I live where it snows a lot and it’s not uncommon to be negative degrees. I’m putting lights up before it gets that cold. Idc if it’s in July.
