I agree it wasn’t necessarily that level. But it does feel a bit off that the nominations are: Ken song, Ryan for best actor and best picture.

Ryan deserved his nom best supporting actor, sorry but he carried the movie, any time he was on screen people were so engaged his characterisation was on point. Award doesn’t have to be a serious role

Can we normalize not dismissing popular things as worthy of critical acclaim. Barbie resinated and was a cultural phenomenon for several reasons including the great acting and direction.
