Mine would only let me list my minor child if I did a percentage to someone over age 18. I'm married so that was easy but a lot of people have no one.

Create a trust for the children, list the trust as the beneficiary for the insurance policy. The trust can pay for the burial.

Just my opinion, The insurance industry as a whole is criminal at worst and just plain inept at best. Continually take your money knowing things are wrong until it’s time for them to pay.

In 19 years of banking only once was there a child beneficiary and it was a nightmare. We strongly discourage it
