@thehomesteadfam: You all know I love my yeast breads but I am ready to get back into some sourdough. In the past I have been gifted starters, but this time I thought it would be even more rewarding to make my own! It is now day 7 and I am testing a loaf already!!!🤯 Here’s what I did: Day 1: combine 50g water & 50g unbleached flour in a glass jar. Cover with a cloth or paper towel. Day 2: add 50g water & 50g flour Day 3: discard (remove) 1/2 the starter & add 50g water & 50g flour Day 4-6: Repeat day 3 Tip: keep it in a warm spot so it will ferment. Great options are in the oven with the light on or above the refrigerator.
