My parents are the complete opposite lol. Any time I mention an autistic related struggle to them, my dad just goes “I’m so sorry” cuz he knows I got it from him🥹

I recently heard a theory that autism is caused by folate supplements and gut microbiome. I also find a lot of the reviews frame their theories about autism causes to be due to some existing pathology in the mother (ie. diabetes). I find this problematic (potential for blame) and confusing. Is ASD purely genetic or is there a behavioural component?
