👇Which one would you not get? Some souvenirs are sweet, some are sparkly — and some are just… uniquely American. This summer, I’m working two jobs as a J1 student in Provincetown, Cape Cod, USA, as part of a Work & Travel program. It’s been a whirlwind — full of ups and downs with job searches, interviews, and finally the relief of finding a second job that helps me earn for my college tuition back home. Now that it’s the middle of summer, I’ve finally started to feel a bit more settled. I haven’t reached my savings goal yet, but I’ve made some progress — and that means… I can finally start exploring what this little seaside town has to offer outside of just work. I work at a jewelry store right in the center of town, and every day I see tourists walking by, shopping, laughing, carrying bags full of shiny, quirky, and totally unique items. And to be honest? I’m ready to spend my money too. Over the past few weeks, I’ve slowly started discovering some of America’s most random but delightful souvenirs — from iconic cookies and strange candies to beautiful handmade accessories, bold salsa jars (that we don’t really have in Eastern Europe), and even small things that carry big memories. The variety here is wild — probably because of the insane level of competition in American markets. Brands just keep improving their products to stay relevant — and as a result, there are so many unique things you don’t really find in Europe (or at least not where I’m from). So here’s what I’m thinking: Should I film a full souvenir & food haul at the end of summer — unpacking everything I bring back home and the memories behind them? Would you watch that? Let me know in the comments — and don’t forget to follow for more summer-in-America vlogs from a student working & living in a resort town #workandtravelusa #capecodsummer #souveniers
