Also once you hit the age of 65 you can start withdrawing with no penalty. It’s retirement as well.

If you’re reimbursing yourself for a medical expense that you paid with taxed income, isn’t it a wash tax wise on the HSA

My employer offers and HSA with a specific bank with no investment option. Can I open up my own and transfer from the employers one?

My health insurance is with my wife. Her company doesn’t offer this. You can get HSA on your own? Can it come out of your check pre taxed this way?

The HSA's I was eligible for through my employers always kept the unused money after each year. So if I didn't use it it was gone.

🤔 I need to double check my HSA’s policy, I am under the impression that I can’t reimburse a bill older than a year.

Agree until the saving old medical bills part. Pay a $2000 medical bill now, out of pocket, so in 20 years you can take out $2000 untaxed, which will be the equivalent of $300.

Wouldn’t indexed universal Life be a better investment since you’re able to accumulate cash and receive interest rates yearly based off S&P, all while still being insured with a life policy
