I’m a dental student! the low reimbursement rates from insurance and the insane cost of materials is why we have to charge so much just to break even

As the wife of a Dentist, they aren't all bad. It does help that you have a friend who charges you pennies. People only love Dentist when they are in pain 😆

My dentist charged my insurance for a cavity filling when all she did was bond, my chip tooth that I paid out of pocket for… I let my insurance know and never going back there again.

I had the same Invisalign scam tried. They told me if I didn’t get them it would cause my teeth to eventually be unhealthy as I age and I would eventually lose them. My teeth are pretty straight btw
