It’s officially Soup Season y’all 🍁 I gave you a little teaser the other day and now here’s the full recipe! Smoked sausage, tomatoes, okra, and shrimp come together for one of my favorite, most cozy fall soup dishes. Full recipe is below. Ingredients: • 1 lb smoked sausage (sliced) • 1–2 lbs shrimp, cleaned and deveined • 1 (12 oz) bag frozen okra • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste • 1 (29 oz) can tomato sauce • 1 (14.5 oz) can stewed tomatoes • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes • Equal parts water to canned tomatoes Seasoning Base: • ½ cup onion, chopped • ½ cup bell pepper, chopped • ¼ cup minced garlic • Garlic salt (to taste) • Italian seasoning (to taste) • Season-all (to taste) • Tony’s Creole seasoning (to taste) • Salt & pepper (to taste) • 2 bay leaves • Dash of filé powder (optional, for a touch of Creole flavor) Instructions: 1. In a large pot, sauté your onion, garlic, and bell pepper with the smoked sausage until fragrant and lightly browned. 2. Stir in tomato paste, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, and diced tomatoes. 3. Pour in equal parts water (about 34–36 oz) and the frozen okra. Mix well. 4. Add all your seasonings: garlic salt, Italian seasoning, Tony’s, salt, pepper, bay leaves, and filé. Stir and bring to a simmer. 5. Let the soup simmer on medium-low for about 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add shrimp in the last 5–7 minutes of cooking (they cook fast). Once your soup is done spoon over rice and enjoy. #fyp #creatorsearchinsights #soupseason #soup #souptok
