It all depends on what income tax you paid in 2023 also. I paid an extra €6500 on interest alone on a tracker mortgage in 2023. Which I should of been able to claim the max benefit @20%- not entitled

You can't claim it back if you haven't paid that amt in tax. I was due €995 back as I am on a tracker, I rang and I was told I hadn't paid enough in tax
