am I the only one who prefers chopped up lettuce for ceasers instead of the long spears? I feel like with the spears it's harder to eat and dressing distribution is always off ;-;

I do two things different. Anchovy oil instead of anchovies (less abusive), and add a little Worsterchesteristershire sauce to the dressing

The original recipe by Caesar Cardini didn't use fresh anchovies (he thought the flavor was too strong). He used Worcestershire sauce (made from fermented anchovies) to get a milder fishy taste.
